After your consultation or viewing images of your scalp and evaluating your unique situation, we’ll be able to suggest a length your hair should be cut before the procedure. However as a general rule I will usually shave the hair to a 0.5mm hair length. And I will also suggest that you keep your hair to this length for the best aesthetic.
Yes it does. We have pigment to match any hair follicle.
While it is possible to do two procedures within the same week, we recommend waiting 7-10 days to fully heal before doing your next session.
The longevity of your SMP depends on a few variables, some are within your control, such as adhering to SMP aftercare and long-term care, and some are out of your control such as immune response and skin chemistry. On average your SMP should last between 3-5 years before a touch up is required. However there are always exceptions to this rule, some might need a touch up after two years, some might need a touch up annually and then there are some whose SMP still looks great after 5 years.
There are several reasons why SMP is done over two or three sessions. And this again also depends on the procedure being done, the first reason is that the process of
SMP creates tiny micro wounds in the skin; the skin is essentially being punctured when each dot is applied, therefore a scab heals over the wound which eventually falls
away often taking some of the implanted pigment with it.
Furthermore, the immune system attacks the pigments, causing them to shrink slightly. This gradual “fading".
